Responsibilities and Requirements
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high‑quality MRI examinations in a timely manner while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. The technologist interacts positively with multiple patient populations and serves as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential as the position may require on‑call availability and holiday coverage.
The role also involves performing other duties as assigned.
As an MRI Technologist at Kettering Health, you will provide critical imaging support, maintain equipment safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care.
Job Requirements- Graduate from an ARRT accredited MRI educational program or ARMRIT accredited MRI education program.
- Minimum work experience: one year of MRI experience preferred.
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (preferred) or ARRT in one of the radiography, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy or sonography categories required. Must obtain ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (preferred) or ARRT in one of the radiography (R)/nuclear medicine (N)/radiation therapy (T)/sonography (S) categories required, with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT to be obtained within 24 months.
Required Skills- Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters.
