General Information & Responsibilities
Black Hawk College seeks adjunct/part-time instructors for the Nursing Assistant Program at the Community Education Center in Kewanee, IL.

Description of Duties
Faculty memberis expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; develops, and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students performance;develops, secures, and maintains the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education & Experience
Registered nurse with current Illinois nursing license required. One year of clinical experience in long-term care nursing required. Teaching experience required or completion of Illinois Department of Public Health training program required prior to employment. Must be approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health for theory instruction, clinical instruction, and Alzheimer's content.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing OR Associate Degree in Nursing PLUS completion of the 'Train-the-trainer' course.
Current Illinois RN license.
Oral English proficiency required.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024)
Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per equated hour
Master's Degree = $808.92 per equated hour
Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour
