Geneseo is located in Henry County, IL, and has a population of approximately 7,000 people.
Geneseo is a beautiful community known for its Victorian-style homes, historic architecture, vibrant Main Street, many parks and churches, a movie theater, and friendly hometown atmosphere. Geneseo Community Unit School District operates five schools, and its high school recently opened a state-of-the-art $4M Career and Technical Education Center to provide hands-on learning and practical application to high school students focusing on technical trades.

The Geneseo Park District includes a Community Center with indoor pool, cardio/weight room, recovery room, activity room, gymnasium, and event meeting room, the John and Carla Edwards Aquatic Center (outdoor facility), the Geneseo Park District Athletic Field, Anderson Memorial Park, Central Theater, and the Edwards Park Property.

Located near the Quad Cities, Hammond-Henry Hospital has been dedicated to providing outstanding medical care by serving the people who live in Geneseo and the regional service area since 1901. We employ approximately 460 people and offer a wide array of services including acute care, cardiopulmonary, emergency services, home health, imaging, laboratory, community-based walk-in care/outpatient clinics, physical therapy, a sleep clinic, neurology and other specialty services, long term care, skilled care, social services, therapy, and surgical services.

OUR REHAB SERVICES
Our Rehabilitation Services Department offers a broad spectrum of care options for service line, setting, and patient type.
We have multiple personal trainers, athletic trainers, cardiac/pulmonary therapy nurses, and speech, occupational, and physical therapists on staff. We cover inpatient, outpatient, home health, and we also have community outreach options. Our clinicians are comfortable treating chronic disorders, acute injuries, vestibular impairments, men s/women s health concerns, pediatric diagnosis and early intervention programming, outpatient neurology, sports medicine, and pre- and post-op orthopedics.

Our facility offers a
Hydroworx pool with zero entry, fully functioning treadmill, jet resistance, and underwater video for activity correction and visual feedback. Our Rehab Department also holds the contracts in surrounding school districts for athletic training.

OUR IMAGING SERVICES
We recently added
Dynamic Digital Radiography, which is an upgraded x-ray machine that provides low dose radiation (lower than fluoroscopy) to view anatomical motion. This machine also allows us to stitch images so that long bones can be viewed with improved quality. Our MRI boasts an increased opening (71 cm) and sensory comforts (headphones and lighting) for comforting those with claustrophobia. The software upgrade improved our image quality and speed to equate to a 3T magnet MRI.

We are also currently undergoing a
fluoroscopy renovation
which will conclude in August. We currently have three x-ray rooms (including fluoroscopy), three ultrasound rooms, one MRI, one CT, one bone density, 1 EMG, and one mammography room.
