Job SummaryThe Prep Cook will plan, prep, set‑up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials according to standards and plating guide specifications. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
Pay: $16 - $18 / hour

Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines.
- Read tickets and prepare order.
- Maintain superior quality in production of all food items.
- Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items.
- Keep updated on recipe changes and ensure proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain a high quality and consistent product.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen area throughout shift.
- Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station; break down and clean station thoroughly every day.
- Ensure proper rotation of all products to par. Label, day‑dot, and sign all products. Obtain Chef/Manager signature on all products.
- Adherence to company and safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned, such as stock counts, labeling and signage of products to support safe and efficient kitchen operations.
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Current food safety certification, such as Serv Safe and Safe Staff (can obtain upon hire)
1 year similar experience preferred
Physical Demands- Frequent lifting, moving and carrying of kitchen ware, cleaning equipment, food boxes, garbage, etc. weighing up to 30‑40 pounds
- Regular and prolonged standing and walking to prepare food, clean work station, move garbage, etc.
- Occasional ascending/descending stairs across the restaurant to move food items, equipment, etc.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
