Job Title : Grill Cook
Pay Type : Hourly paid weekly
Reports To : Executive Chef, Store Manager, Department Manager

Job SummaryAs a Grill Cook at The Golden Hog, you will prepare delicious, high-quality grilled foods while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant cooking environment. You will be responsible for grilling meats, vegetables, and more to order, ensuring all food is prepared safely and consistently following company procedures, health codes, and food safety standards. A focus on quality, efficiency, and compliance with all operational guidelines is essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and grill a variety of meats and vegetables according to recipes and customer requests
- Ensure all grilled items are cooked to proper temperature and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized grill station and prep areas
- Follow all food safety, handling, sanitation, and health department compliance requirements
- Monitor inventory levels for grill ingredients and supplies; communicate needs to management
- Assist with prepping food items needed for grilling throughout the day
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers to ensure smooth service
- Keep track of order times and work efficiently during busy periods
- Adhere to all company policies, operational standards, and procedures
- Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of grilling techniques, food temperatures, and food safety practices
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and compliance with food handling standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and consistency
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
- Your standard work schedule will be 5 days per week, with 2 days off to be scheduled based on operational needs.
- Due to special events, you may be required to work on holidays or additional days.
