Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Lower Keys Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician for hospital call coverage in Key West, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to provide inpatient and outpatient care in a collaborative environment while enjoying one of the most desirable locations in the U.S.

• Start Date: November 8, 2025 - First rotation is 11/8-11/10

• Duration: Ongoing (locum tenens)

• Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 7:00 AM 7:00 AM

• Practice Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient (hospital call only, no clinic)

• Average Call Volume (24 hrs):

  • 6 phone consults

  • 3 patients seen

  • 2 admissions

• Call Response Time: 30 minutes

• Average Deliveries per Year: 330

• Privileges Required: Yes (temporary privileges available)

• License: Active Florida license required (IMLC not accepted)

• Board Certification: Required in Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Certifications: PALS required; BLS/ACLS/ATLS not required

• Low- and high-risk pregnancy management

• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)

• OB ultrasound viability and targeted (anatomic)

• Routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, c-section)

• Breech and multiple births

• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

• Office/minor gynecology (IUD, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, cystoscopy)

• Surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic minor procedures, ectopic management, cystectomy, ovary removal)

• Nearest Airport: Key West International Airport (EYW)
