Job Summary
Join our fun‑employed family as the Ghost Host at Historic Tours of America
. Bring to life the ghoulish past of our premier fright‑seeing Ghosts & Gravestones tour in Key West. The Ghost Host must have a sense of fun and the desire to entertain while sharing stories of Key West's haunted past, making guests feel welcomed and glad they chose our company.
- Competitive pay: $21 per hour
- Paid training: $20 per hour
- 2 weeks paid vacation for full‑time employees; company‑sponsored health and wellness plans

Essential Functions- Present historically accurate information in an entertaining manner in costume, on a moving trolley on busy streets and outdoors in various weather conditions, several times a work shift, using a loud audible voice (with or without amplification).
- Portray costumes historical characters, either based on real persons or composites, to entertain and narrate local history from an approved script.
- Study and rehearse roles from scripts to learn and memorize lines and cues as directed.
- Fill multiple acting roles within the tour, switching positions with ease during a work shift.
- Use props as directed and remain on schedule when performing.
Skills and Abilities
- Learn and memorize scripted materials and historical details.
- Work independently over long periods within established rules and regulations to satisfy guest needs.
- Handle stressful situations and difficult people while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.
- Read, write and speak fluent English to communicate with employees and the public.
- Work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Work outside in all weather conditions.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Strong interest in history is desirable.
- Prior performance or interpretation experience preferred.
- Must pass pre‑employment background check and substance abuse testing.
- Have a passion for helping people and making their Key West experience memorable.
