Position SummaryResponsible for the day to day servicing functions pertaining to the collateral and documentation processing of consumer loans. Processes consumer loan files after closings to ensure that documents are recorded with proper recording authority and the loans are entered correctly into the company records. Inputs loan documents, processes loan payoffs and maintains loan files. Prepares and monitors vehicle titles on newly booked loans.
Establishes loan files and orders documentation required to process loans. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all loan documentation. Screens consumer application packages to determine acceptability of the credit request based on the organization's predetermined lending guidelines. Recommends approvals and declines of consumer credit requests. Provides general clerical assistance to consumer loan underwriters.

Quality Control / Funding (60%)- Perform quality audit on all closed consumer loans and share secured loans to ensure that they are in compliance with policies and procedures and accurately reflect the corresponding credit approval and resolve issues as they arise.
- Fund consumer loans according to underwriter's instructions.
- Balance various consumer loan related GLs weekly.
- Notify manager of any discrepancies found during the review or production of the loan documents or credit approvals.
- Work with appropriate parties to obtain corrections, waivers, amendments, etc. in order to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Resolve loan servicing maintenance issues as they arise.
- Record liens on all new collateral loans. Ensure that appropriate title work has been ordered for each new secured loan.
- Prepare perfected lien report.
- Process all title work on title transfers.
- Prepare weekly 45 day non-perfected lien report.
- Utilize Electronic Title Tracking system to track titles not received and follow up.
- Work with members, the DMV, insurance companies, dealers, collections department, and various vendors to resolve arising issues and to maintain strong relationships.
- Process paid off consumer loans and release titles.
- Process out of state title requests.
- Issue Title Guarantees to insurance companies.
- Work with Mortgage Department to release titles on paid off mobile home loans.
- Make title corrections as needed.
- Work with members, the DMV, insurance companies, dealers, collections department, and vendors for resolving arising issues to verify, maintain, and/or release security.
- Interview consumer loan applicants and provide information on consumer loan products that best meet the member's needs.
- Obtain all required information and documentation to secure a loan.
- Develop loan applications to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
- Recommend approvals and declines of consumer credit requests.
- Review a variety of reports for loan opportunities.
- Print incoming loan applications and prepare for consumer lending to ensure that they are complete to decision by underwriters.
- Assist Underwriters in completion and documentation of all loans.
- Generate, audit and process various daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding consumer loans and follow up as needed, including L&D maturity reports, deductible waiver report, Board exception report, and EZ-Cash review.
- Assist members & KFCU employees with questions.
- Provide administrative assistance to consumer lending, including correspondence, special projects, loan closings, phone follow-up/sales calls, branch training etc.
- Comply with all department and Credit Union policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Up to 6 months of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
- Strong ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under time constraints and deadlines.
- Ability to work with a team.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good computer skills (Excel & Word)
- Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping principles preferred.
- Proficiency in FSP and electronic title system (FDI) preferred.
