Job Description
HII, Mission Technologies has a need for a Computer Operator III to support the NITE government program located in Key West, Florida.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain the Navy Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS) and associated equipment including Radar Acquisition Display System (RADS), Joint Debriefing Subsystem (JDS), Individual Combat Aircrew Display System (ICADS), and the Radio Interface Computer (RIC).
- Receive pre‑mission data from participating squadrons and input into Mission Line Up computer prior to scheduled mission. Interact with Mission Coordinator and squadron operations personnel when data is not received in a timely manner, verify all information is correct and accurately input into the mission display system, and ensure all aircraft are tracking properly during the mission. Work with voice communications technicians to ensure good radio transmit and receive.
- Assist Air Intercept Controllers and Range Training Officers with operating mission system computers as needed. Document aircraft tracking anomalies and report them to the appropriate parties using the Pod Gripe Process. Set up mission replays for the aircrew to use for debriefing.
- Enter mission data into Range Information Management System (RIMS). Handle classified material properly and be cross‑trained and qualified to operate multiple TCTS systems.
- Complete all assigned training including monthly Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) training, government assigned training, and all other non‑recurring training as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Computer Operations Supervisor. Work is scheduled by the manager or supervisor based on mission schedule and fleet requirements. Mission support may require shifting of schedules to accommodate fleet readiness.
- Maintain knowledge of the proper handling of classified material.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years related experience.
- Clearance:
Active SECRET security clearance.
- Previous experience on NITE contract.
Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job. A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.
