Supervisory Recreation Specialist

This position is located in the Community Recreation Divion, of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Department, located within Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) NAS Key West, FL.

Manages and administers a comprehensive and diverse year-round recreation program including events, activities, and programming at various recreation facilities.

• Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
• Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
• May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
• A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.
• Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
• Irregular working hours may be required to include early shift, late shift, evenings, weekends and holidays when the need arises.
• As of May 7, 2025, The REAL  requires visitors to have a REAL  passport to access to Government Facilities. This will be a requirement for employment.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis, and on occasion lift items over 50 pounds.
