Chef Storyteller at the Key West Cooking Show
Historic Tours of America is seeking an engaging and culinary‑talented Chef Storyteller to perform entertaining cooking demonstrations on the Key West Cooking Show (KWCS) before a live audience. The Chef Storyteller will uphold culinary standards, ensure dishes look appetizing, are cooked properly, and are served quickly, while supporting senior leadership and meeting brand values and business objectives.

- Showcase cooking techniques, present dishes, and educate the audience on cooking styles, ingredients, and flavors in front of a live audience while entertaining them.
- Follow script and stage directions to provide an entertaining demonstration from start to finish, with use of audio and video equipment as needed.
- Support and assist in the preparation and design of all food demonstrations.
- Maintain brand, local health, safety, and food‑preparation hygiene standards.
- Support the team in consistent execution of all systems and processes to deliver products and services to brand standards.
- Ability to work independently over long periods and effectively in groups within established rules and regulations.
- Strong communication and listening skills, along with excellent speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
- Ability to comprehend and use technical or professional language, written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
- Effective presentation skills in one‑on‑one and group situations to media, customers, clients, partners, and other employees.
- Knowledge of storyboarding and content creation to enhance newsworthiness.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry, inclusive of restaurant culinary operations.
- All local food‑management and safety certifications.
- Multiple language abilities a plus; fluency in English required.
- Must pass pre‑employment background check and substance abuse testing.
- Have a passion for helping people and making their Key West experience memorable.
- Maintain mandatory food and drink certifications.
