Duties- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle cash, credit card transactions, and manage the cash drawer accurately
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with product demos to engage customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store aisles
- Answer customer inquiries via phone with courteous phone etiquette and direct questions appropriately
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in regular stock checks
- Previous retail or grocery store experience is preferred, especially in cashiering or cashier operations
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, and cash handling procedures is essential
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and register balancing
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor
- Supervising experience is advantageous for potential leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings or weekends
