Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of SES, you will work on installing, operating, and maintaining electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio‑visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain electronic security systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
  • Lead teams on large complex installation projects.
  • Document daily toolbox talks, ORMs, and safety audits.
  • Program and install head‑end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate systems and hardware locally and globally.
  • Lead on‑site software commissioning and testing.
  • Create and manage project schedules, and integrate IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
  • Forecast and manage project labor hours.
  • Communicate project and team issues to management.
  • Mentor technicians.
Clearance / Citizenship

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may require U.S. citizenship for access to classified information.
ACTIVE SECRET Clearance is required.

Key Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Possible use of company vehicle.
Education
  • HS diploma or GED with at least 720 classroom hours of Military Electronics Training.
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program.
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
  • Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
Progressive Experience
  • 8+ years of electronics installation/maintenance across multiple systems and customers.
  • 3+ years focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, time management, and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (a plus).
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
Desired / Advantageous Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows OS).
Abilities
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly; proper lifting techniques required.
  • Operate ladders and work at heights up to 60 feet.
  • Good vision (corrected if needed) and ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • Recognize potential problems and apply general rules to produce actionable insights.
  • Apply detailed knowledge at close range and communicate information clearly.
