Construction Project Manager-Capital Delivery

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Project Managers with a proven track record in construction design, planning, and technical project management delivery to join our award‑winning Capital Programme and Project Delivery Team within Bath & North East Somerset Council.

• Lead and manage a diverse project portfolio including highways, corporate and commercial estates, housing, compliance maintenance and new build projects with total value in excess of £200m.
• Collaborate with the Sustainable Communities team across Planning, Heritage Services, Housing, Transport Strategy, Public Realm and Corporate Estate.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with the Capital Construction Programme objectives of sustainability, net‑zero by 2030 and long‑term community benefits.
• Work closely with stakeholders, design professionals and contractors to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality.
• Support the retrofit of approximately 1,100 properties and delivery of sustainable transport and neighbourhoods.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction and technical project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of design and construction processes, planning and technical aspects of large‑scale projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management, team collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience in sustainable and net‑zero project delivery is desirable.
