This is a full‑time, bench Carpenter role based in Keynsham. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing domestic and commercial furniture and fixtures made from wood and other sheet materials. You will need to be able to utilize hand tools, power tools, and advanced carpentry techniques to create high‑quality, bespoke products. Your day‑to‑day duties will include interpreting drawings, cutting materials, assembling components, and ensuring all work meets the company’s stringent standards for precision and quality.
ResponsibilitiesConstruct and assemble domestic and commercial furniture and fixtures, interpret technical drawings, cut and prepare wood materials, assemble components using hand and power tools, and maintain high standards of precision, quality, and safety throughout the production process.
Qualifications- Proficiency in both rough and finish carpentry work.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Expertise in framing and working with various wood structures.
- Attention to detail and craftsmanship in finish carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in bespoke high‑end joinery or shop fitting is advantageous.
- Formal training or certification in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
- Must be based within the Bristol and Bath area.
- Hold a full driving licence for at least five years.
