£31,880 salary or £16.57 per hour, plus ample overtime opportunities, enhanced holiday pay, permanent, Keynsham BS31. 33 days holiday, working Monday to Friday 37‑hour week, core hours 7.30‑15.30, early finish Friday, pension, parking.

Our client is an established and highly respected manufacturer who operates a friendly team of engineers and offers a permanent or temp‑to‑perm role as a manual turner. You will manage your own workload with jobs allocated from the engineering supervisor.

• Manual machining
• Manual turning – CNC turning experience is also of interest
• Machining precision parts and components producing one‑offs and small batches
• Reading engineering drawings
• Working to non‑aerospace tolerances
• Basic CNC machining is also of interest but not essential
• Select appropriate materials for each job as described in the drawings
• Self‑inspect components and report any manufacturing errors to line manager so corrective action can be agreed

• Candidates may have served an engineering apprenticeship as a skilled machinist
• Any City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent Engineering qualifications are suitable; candidates with a proved track record in manual milling or turning, even if time‑served, may also qualify
• The ideal candidate has worked as a manual turner; CNC turning or milling skills are also of interest and could lead to a higher salary.
