Role Summary
The  Supply Chains Logistics Manager  will oversee and optimize end-to-end supply chain and logistics functions at the Kharagpur facility. You will lead activities related to inventory planning, procurement support, warehouse management, distribution logistics,and demand forecasting — ensuring high service levels, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. SAP proficiency is key for driving process integration, real-time data visibility, and performance analytics.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Management
Lead execution of supply chain activities including demand planning, inventory optimization, and material flow coordination.
Develop and implement strategies to improvesupply chain efficiency and responsiveness.
Collaborate with procurement, production, quality, and commercial teams to align supply plans with business needs.

Logistics Distribution
Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics to achieve timely delivery and depot throughput.
Oversee transportation planning, freight management, and logistics cost control.
Improve warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking/packing, dispatch) ensuring accuracy and compliance.

SAP System Management
Use SAP modules (MM, SD, WM/EWM, IM) to manage inventory, purchase orders, stock transfers, shipment tracking, and reporting.
Support SAP data integrity, master data maintenance, and configuration where needed for logistics and SCM processes.
Generate insights through SAP dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decisions.

Team Leadership Coordination
Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain and logistics team.
Foster cross-functional collaboration for seamless planning and execution.
Drive process documentation, SOPs, and best practices.

Performance & Compliance
Monitor KPIs such as inventory turns, on-time delivery, logistics cost per unit, and order accuracy.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean/six-sigma principles.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Soft Skills & Competencies
Strong SAP experience — especially in Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM), Warehouse Management (WM/EWM), and Logistics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process optimisation skills.
Effective communicator with ability to coordinate across teams.
Leadership mindset with experience guiding teams through change and performance improvement.
Strategic thinker with attention to detail and quality execution.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
SAP certification or demonstrable SAP supply chain experience preferred.

Experience
6 – 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, inventory control, warehouse C logistics operations — preferably in manufacturing or FMCG/chemical sectors.
