Librarian - City Library

Khasab, Oman is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the library and providing excellent service to our patrons.

• Organize and maintain library materials, including books, periodicals, and digital media
• Assist patrons with finding resources and conducting research
• Develop and implement library programs and events for all ages
• Manage library budget and make recommendations for purchasing new materials
• Train and supervise library staff members
• Ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in a library setting
• Knowledge of cataloging systems, digital resources, and information retrieval techniques
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic (preferred)
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well with diverse populations
• Familiarity with current trends in library services and technology

• Must have accommodation within or near Khasab (preferably provided by employer)
• Biometric passport preferred
• Preference for male candidates due to cultural norms in Oman

The salary for this position is 1400 USD per month.
