Pastry Chef at a Luxury Resort in Khasab, Oman

We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxurious resort in Khasab, Oman. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries for our guests. You must have excellent baking skills and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Prepare and present a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to menu specifications
• Develop new dessert recipes while also maintaining traditional favorites
• Ensure all pastry items are made with high-quality ingredients and presented beautifully
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and scheduling staff
• Train and mentor junior pastry chefs in proper techniques and procedures
• Adhere to food safety standards and maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
• In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train others
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required
• Certification in Food Safety/HACCP is an asset
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
