About the Role

Quantity Surveyor is pivotal in ensuring the financial and contractual success of construction projects and responsible for overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying on-site, including cost management, contract administration, and procurement.

What you will be doing
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, including bills of quantities (BOQ). Handle contract negotiations and resolve any contractual disputes.
  • Coordinate procurement processes, including sourcing materials and subcontractors. Ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including health and safety requirements.
  • Generate regular reports on project progress, costs, and any issues encountered. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project managers.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to cost, schedule, and quality. Implement strategies to avoid litigation and claims.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of quantity surveying on construction sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports. Monitor project costs and ensure they remain within budget.
Required Experience

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the AEC industry.

Experience in site supervision is essential.

Education

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Post graduate diploma in QS is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
