About the Role

Hatch, in partnership with Ma’aden, is delivering major mining and infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a Construction Lead who will be responsible for leading and coordinating construction activities during project execution to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, Engineering, Procurement, HSE, and Quality teams, the Construction Lead supports construction planning, contractor management, field execution, and site coordination to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a strong safety culture and support all project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure Construction Work Packages (CWPs) are developed, reviewed, and executed in alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate construction activities with engineering, procurement, planning, and commissioning teams to support efficient project execution.
  • Support the development and implementation of construction execution strategies, schedules, and work plans.
  • Monitor construction progress and proactivelyidentifyand resolve field issues, risks, and constraints.
  • Ensure corporate policies, project procedures, and Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements are implemented and maintained.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications toidentifyconstructability concerns and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support the preparation and review of construction estimates, budgets, forecasts, and schedules.
  • Assistin obtaining required permits, approvals, and site access requirements before construction activitiescommence.
  • Coordinate contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Prepare and contribute to construction progress reporting, performance metrics, and project status updates.
  • Support workforce planning and resource allocation to meet projectschedulesand productivity targets.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to construction supervisors and field personnel.
  • Ensure effective communication of construction risks, concerns, and progress to project leadership and site management.
  • Support modularization, prefabrication, mechanical completion, and project handover activities.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Construction Execution Plan.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Engineering, orrelateddiscipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience, including leadership roles on large industrial, mining, infrastructure, or EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, field execution, and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of EPCM project delivery environments.
  • Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferred.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project reporting tools.
  • Fluency in English;
    Arabic language skills are an advantage.
