Job Summary
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the project's health, safety, and environment (HSE) management system, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with applicable regulations and company HSE standards.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and implement the project HSE Management Plan.
- Supervise Safety Supervisors and Safety Officers across the project.
- Conduct HSE risk assessments and ensure control measures are implemented.
- Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
- Monitor compliance with HSE regulations, permits, and company procedures.
- Conduct site HSE audits, inspections, and safety walkdowns.
- Coordinate HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talk programs.
- Prepare and present HSE performance reports to project and senior management.
- Liaise with client HSE representatives and regulatory authorities.
- Manage emergency response planning and drills.
- Promote a strong safety culture and behavior-based safety programs across site.
- Review and approve method statements and risk assessments for high-risk activities.
Experience:
+12 years of experience in HSE management on EPC/construction projects, including supervisory/managerial experience.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent HSE certification.
