Position Overview

Full Professor, Computer Engineering at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. This full‑time, on‑site position is located in Al‑Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful applicant will report to the Department Chair and support the College of Computer Engineering and Science in advancing research, teaching, and service.

• Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited, reputable Western university.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience after earning the terminal degree, with demonstrated research productivity (publications in international journals and conferences).
• Excellent command of the English language and familiarity with technology‑infused academic environments.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities in VLSI / FPGA Design, Microprocessors / Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, and Robotics.
• For Associate/Full Professor: a letter of promotion from a named academic institution proving promotion through documented due process.
• Optional:
  Master’s degree with teaching experience of freshman/sophomore courses and laboratory modules.
• Optional: industrial experience and prior work in the Middle East or GCC countries.

• Carry out the duties of the position in accordance with college policies and procedures, upholding high professional standards.
• Design, develop, and plan courses and programs in Computer Engineering; review curricula and participate in assessment, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities.
• Provide exemplary teaching and learning experiences for students, including timely feedback and assessment of coursework.
• Guide and advise students, both academically and professionally.
• Maintain scholarly or professional development activities to stay current in the field.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, recruitment, mentoring, and representation at departmental, faculty, and college committees.
• Assist in administrative processes and contribute to the university’s accreditation and performance objectives.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Department Chair, Dean, Vice Rector, or Rector.
