Full Professor – Computer Science
Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU), Al‑Khobar, Saudi Arabia – full‑time on site.
OverviewPosition in the College of Computer Engineering and Science, reporting to the Department Chair and College Dean. The role involves teaching, research, service, and leadership to advance knowledge, foster innovation, and meet national and international scientific expectations.
Qualifications & Experience- Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field from an accredited, reputable Western university.
- Master’s degree with good teaching experience may be considered, especially for freshman and sophomore courses and laboratory modules.
- A minimum of 2–3 years teaching experience after the terminal degree and solid research experience, including publications in international journals and conferences.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Knowledge of technology‑infused academic environments.
- Previous experience in the Middle East or GCC countries is a plus.
- Industrial experience is a plus.
- For Associate / Full Professor ranks, a letter of promotion from an academic institution with documented due process is required.
- Carry out the duties in accordance with College values and standards.
- Work with students as members of a learning community to provide world‑class education and an excellent student experience.
- Integrate inclusiveness and respect diversity.
- Promote collegiality within the College community.
- Contribute at an appropriate level to school and faculty policy and practice in teaching.
- Play a significant role in the design, development, and planning of courses and programs.
- Review courses and programs and conduct assessment, quality assurance, and quality enhancement.
- Develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
- Provide timely feedback and assessment of coursework and examinations.
- Provide general support and guidance to students.
- Maintain scholarly or professional development activity and keep up to date with developments in the field.
- Participate in comprehensive advisement of students.
- Represent the institution and faculty on appropriate committees and groups.
- Contribute to the management and administrative processes of the School, faculty, and College.
- Participate in, manage, or lead major initiatives or projects that facilitate performance and accreditation.
- Participate in recruitment, management, development, and mentoring of colleagues.
- Perform any other position‑related duties as requested by Chair, Dean, Vice President, or President.
- Research interest and experience in Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Systems, Mobile App Development, Parallel Computing, Cryptography, Distributed Systems and Algorithms.
