Overview
Lead, manage, develop and continuously optimize our Saudi Arabia service centre operations for turbo compressors and turbo expanders, ensuring the safe, compliant, and technically sound execution of inspection, repair, overhaul, reassembly, and performance testing activities. Ensure adherence to OEM standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements while driving operational efficiency, cost control, and margin performance. Develop technical capability, process excellence, and operational reliability to enhance customer satisfaction, support aftermarket business growth, and ensure long-term sustainability of service centre operations.
ResponsibilitiesRepair Centre & Workshop Leadership
- Manage the full lifecycle of service centre activities, including incoming inspections, disassembly, repair, overhaul, reassembly, testing, and final release of turbo compressor parts, core units, and MCS of expanders.
- Plan, coordinate, and control workshop capacity, manpower, tooling, and equipment to ensure optimal utilization and on-time delivery.
- Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring adherence to approved work scopes, repair procedures, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate closely with product companies, qualified local vendors, and supply chain functions to ensure effective planning, material availability, technical alignment, and timely execution of turbo machinery repair and overhaul projects.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely, high-quality repair execution and transparent communication.
- Support Aftermarket Sales and Key Account Managers with technical input for repair proposals, scope definition, lead times, and cost estimates.
- Participate in customer technical meetings, repair reviews, and failure analysis discussions as required.
- Monitor repair centre performance, including job profitability, cost control, productivity, and turnaround time.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce repair cycle times and improve margins.
- Ensure accurate cost tracking, work order closure, and timely invoicing in coordination with service administration and finance teams.
- Enforce strict compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) policies, procedures, and local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure implementation of risk assessments, method statements, and safe work practices within the repair centre.
- Maintain availability, calibration, certification, and proper use of workshop tools, lifting equipment, measurement devices, and test facilities.
- Support internal and external audits, certifications, and customer inspections of the repair centre.
- Lead, coach, and develop workshop engineers, technicians, supervisors, and support staff.
- Identify skills gaps and training needs, coordinate with product companies and OEMs for specialized repair and technology training.
- Develop technical specialists for specific turbo compressor and expander models and applications.
- Establish, review, and improve repair centre processes, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Analyse completed repair jobs to capture lessons learned, failure trends, and best practices.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Provide regular operational and performance reports to management.

- Proven experience in repair of rotating equipment, specifically turbo compressors and expanders.
- Strong mechanical engineering background: electrical, instrumentation, and controls knowledge is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office tools.
- Fluency in English;
Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong operational planning, execution, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding of repair processes, quality systems, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to quality, reliability, and delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under time and cost pressure.
