The Electrical Inspector (QM) is responsible for performing detailed inspection, testing, and verification of electrical systems and equipment at project sites to ensure full compliance with National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC standards, NACE requirements, and project specifications. The role ensures adherence to Saudi Aramco Standards and applicable international codes while maintaining high-quality and safety standards throughout all electrical installation and commissioning activities.
Experience:8 - 10 years
Roles and Responsibilities- Conduct inspection and verification of electrical installations, equipment, materials, and workmanship as per project requirements and approved standards.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70, IEC, NACE (for Cathodic Protection systems), and other relevant international codes.
- Review and validate inspection records, test packages, and quality documents as per QM requirements (QM-01, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 36, 46, 47, 48).
- Perform site surveillance to ensure quality control procedures and project specifications are followed.
- Evaluate electrical systems during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages.
- Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and follow up for corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and quality teams to ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
- Participate in technical discussions, audits, and quality meetings as required.
- Ensure all electrical work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company and industry safety standards.
- B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with minimum 6 years of relevant inspection experience, or 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 8 years of relevant inspection experience.
- Thorough knowledge of National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC standards, and NACE corrosion-control requirements (for CP systems).
- Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Specifications & Standards and applicable international codes.
- Should be familiar with Industry Standards and project-specific Quality Management requirements.
- Saudi Aramco-approved or must have passed the Saudi Aramco CBT Exam & Interview.
- Qualification in API SIEE is an added advantage.
