Job Summary

The Naval Outfitting Specialist will support and oversee all technical, engineering, and quality aspects of naval outfitting activities. The role focuses on resolving site issues, interpreting drawings, coordinating with engineering teams, ensuring compliance with standards, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and classification societies while driving smooth project execution and continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
  • Provide technical guidance to site execution teams.
  • Review, interpret, and explain technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Clarify discrepancies between design documents and site conditions.
  • Provide updated mark‑up drawings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with design offices and consultants for clarifications.
  • Prepare and respond to technical queries (TQs).
  • Maintain professional communication with clients and classification societies.
  • Ensure compliance with inspection, approval, and certification requirements.
  • Maintain documentation including meeting minutes and inspection records.
  • Implement quality‑control measures for outfitting works.
  • Prepare QA checklists, inspection reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in materials, processes, and execution quality.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Degree in Naval Architecture or Technical Naval Engineering.
  • Intermediate qualification in Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP).
  • Experience with ITPs, self‑inspections, and quality plans.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 3834, ISO 45001 standards and classification society rules.
  • Strong technical drawing interpretation skills.
  • Minimum English proficiency: B1.
  • 5+ years’ experience in piping fabrication, piping installation, hull outfitting, and insulation works.
  • Training/experience in welding techniques (IWE / AWS SCWI / CSWIP 3.2).
  • Knowledge of piping procedures and pipe bending processes.
  • NDT Level II qualification.
  • Experience in pipe surface treatment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • English level B2 or above.
  • Certifications such as BGAS Grade 1, SSPC Level II, or NACE Level 2.
  • Experience with European or Asian shipyards.
  • Strong client‑handling capability.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement or Lean methodologies.
