Senior HSSE & Safety Compliance Leader

The candidate will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of safety and environmental measures and initiatives to ensure compliance with HSSE requirements and meeting regulatory standards. In addition, the expectation is to have regular contact across stadium operations at all levels, including directors, managers, supervisors, contractors, service providers, and external entities on HSSE issues.

• Provide advisory and consultation to staff and assist them in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with environmental/safety regulations, standards and practices.
• Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the Workplace; this includes occupational health, safety and environment.
• Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices, and perform construction site and/or area safety inspections and operations.
• Perform job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analyses and safe work procedures, and prepare written reports and recommendations.
• Develop controls for identified hazards, coordinate implementation controls and measure or evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies and procedures, and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace incidents and injuries.
• Lead and coordinate safety orientations, safety training, and job site inspection procedures, and develop specialized education and training materials when needed.
• Manage contractors and service providers HSSE compliance and provide regular reports as needed.
• Review and analyze injury, property damage, and statistical loss data and work with management to prepare comprehensive recommendations, corrective actions to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
• Assist management with monitoring adherence to the safety program by employees and contractors.

• 8-10 Years of experience with a BS degree in safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science.
• Must have knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental, and/or international standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a great ability to lead and direct teams.
