Electrical Inspector - Offshore

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Inspector to oversee and inspect electrical systems, installations, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, electrical codes, and project specifications. The Electrical Inspector will play a critical role in maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across all electrical works performed on-site. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent observational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with contractors, engineers, and project teams.

• Conduct inspections of electrical installations, systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical codes.
• Verify that all electrical work adheres to local, national, and industry safety regulations and standards.
• Review electrical plans, schematics, and technical documentation before and during project execution.
• Monitor installation activities including wiring, panels, transformers, switch gear, grounding systems, lighting, and control systems.
• Identify non-conformities, defects, or safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documentation, and compliance records in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve inspection-related issues.
• Ensure proper testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Conduct site audits and safety inspections to minimize operational risks and ensure workplace safety.
• Verify the quality of materials and equipment used in electrical installations.
• Assist in obtaining regulatory approvals and certifications from relevant authorities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities when required.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance related to electrical compliance and quality standards.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–7 years of experience in electrical inspection, quality assurance, or electrical maintenance projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety regulations, and inspection procedures.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in preparing inspection reports and maintaining documentation.
