Role OverviewSmart 3D and automation professional with 10+ years of experience in Hexagon Smart Plant 3D, SPPID, and automation, specializing in custom tool development, Smart Plant interfaces, and data‑centric / Digital Twin–driven engineering delivery for Oil & Gas projects. Strong exposure to integrated digital engineering environments and lifecycle data management.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and customize Smart Plant 3D, including piping specifications (SRD & paper spec), isometrics, supports, symbols (), reporting, and drawing styles
- Design and develop automation solutions and custom engineering tools integrated with Smart Plant 3D
- Develop interfaces between Smart Plant 3D and external systems for data exchange, validation, and reporting
- Configure GA / Plant drawings, XML building assemblies (PAL), and discipline‑wide custom attributes
- Develop SQL queries, automated reports, and Power BI dashboards
- Perform data validation, audits, and quality assurance checks
- Demonstrate working knowledge of other Smart Plant tools (such as Smart Plant Foundation, Smart Electrical, Instrumentation, or Materials) for integrated project delivery
- Work within K Digital delivery frameworks and integrated engineering environments
- Support Digital Twin initiatives with structured, lifecycle‑ready asset data
- Enable model‑based execution (MBE) from FEED through Handover
- Experience with SDx / AIM, 4D simulation, and multi‑dimensional asset data
- Automation and custom tool development
- Smart Plant 3D system integration and interfaces
- Strong knowledge of Hexagon and integrated digital engineering architectures
- Proven delivery experience with leading EPC and engineering software organizations
- SPPID Administration: symbology, filters, reports, data dictionary, and system maintenance
- Exposure to or hands‑on experience with AVEVA tools (E3D, Engineering, Diagrams, Asset Information Management) is an added advantage
