Role Overview
The Senior Planner will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for hospitality (hotel) developments under a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) framework. The role requires strong expertise in planning, scheduling, and progress control, ensuring timely delivery while aligning with client objectives and operational requirements specific to hotel projects.
Key Responsibilities Planning & Scheduling- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
- Establish baseline programs covering all project phases (design, procurement, construction, fit-out, handover).
- Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with project scope.
- Define critical path and identify potential scheduling risks.
- Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for stakeholders.
- Track milestones, deliverables, and critical activities.
- Highlight delays and recommend mitigation measures.
- Perform delay analysis (EOT support) using recognized methodologies.
- Develop recovery plans and revised schedules when required.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure alignment on corrective actions.
- Manage planning for hotel and hospitality developments
, including: - High-end and luxury hotel projects
- Fit-out, FF&E, and OS&E integration
- Coordination with operator requirements and brand standards (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, Accor)
- Pre-opening timelines and operational readiness
- Work closely with Project Managers, Contractors, Consultants, and Clients.
- Ensure coordination between design, procurement, and construction schedules.
- Support PMC team with planning insights and risk assessments.
- Identify project risks related to schedule and timelines.
- Maintain and update risk registers related to planning.
- Proactively recommend mitigation strategies. Qualifications & Requirements Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Proven experience in hospitality (hotel) projects is mandatory.
- Prior experience in PMC environment is essential.
- Strong experience using Primavera P6
.
