Position: Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and authoritative Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to lead, implement, and maintain our radiation protection program. In this critical regulatory and safety role, you will serve as the primary custodian of our radiological operations, ensuring absolute compliance with national laws and international safety frameworks.

The ideal candidate must have direct, proven experience dealing with the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC) in Saudi Arabia and a successful track record of executing the complete process for issuing and renewing radiation practice licenses
. You will serve as the company's official liaison with the NRRC, ensuring our personnel, equipment, and facilities meet all statutory safety mandates.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Must hold a valid RSO Certificate/License issued by the NRRC.
  • Demonstrable, hands‑on experience dealing with the NRRC portals, regulatory frameworks, and the successful issuance of radiation licenses
    .
  • Strong knowledge of Radiation Safety and Health Physics principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Practical experience with Radiation monitoring, exposure assessment, and shielding considerations.
  • Experience handling and controlling Radioactive Materials, including inventory, storage, transport, and disposal.
  • Familiarity with national and international radiation protection standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to deliver safety training, communicate technical information clearly, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in industrial inspection, NDT, or similar environments is an advantage.
