Our Potential Opportunity

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking E&I Technician (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our dynamic team. The E&I Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, calibration, and pre‑commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. Experience working on projects utilizing Schneider Foxboro DCS and Triconex ESD Systems is a significant advantage.

What You’ll Lead And Deliver
  • Install process instrumentation including transmitters, control valves, actuators, flow elements, level instruments, and analysers as per hook‑up drawings and specifications.
  • Perform electrical installations including cable pulling, termination, panel wiring, earthing, and lighting systems.
  • Calibrate a full range of field instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters using appropriate calibration tools.
  • Conduct loop checks between field instruments and the control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G), including interfaces with Schneider Foxboro DCS and Triconex ESD Systems.
  • Perform pre‑commissioning activities including megger testing, continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and power‑up checks for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation faults in the field using multimeters, HART communicators, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Complete pre‑commissioning test records, calibration certificates, and punch list items accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work safely under permit‑to‑work systems, follow LOTO procedures, and adhere strictly to project HSE requirements.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering; trade certification in E&I is acceptable with relevant experience.
  • 8–10 years of field experience as an E&I Technician on oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial EPC projects.
  • Proficiency in instrument calibration, loop checking, and electrical testing procedures.
  • Experience with instruments and electrical systems connected to Schneider Foxboro DCS and Triconex ESD Systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ISA, IEC, and Saudi Aramco or ADNOC field installation standards.
  • Valid electrical/instrumentation certification in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills
  • Hands‑on proficiency in calibrating all categories of process instruments and generating calibration certificates.
  • Practical experience in conducting end‑to‑end loop checks for instruments interfacing with Schneider Foxboro DCS and Triconex ESD Systems.
  • Competency in megger testing, continuity checks, high‑pot testing, and relay testing for LV/MV electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using HART communicators (Fisher ROC, AMS, or equivalent) for smart instrument configuration and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and work from P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook‑up drawings, cable schedules, and single‑line electrical diagrams.
Soft Skills
  • Strong personal commitment to following PTW procedures, LOTO protocols, and project safety requirements at all times.
  • Careful and accurate approach to all field installation, testing, and documentation activities.
  • Collaborative team player able to work effectively with other E&I technicians, supervisors, and commissioning engineers.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with site supervisors and engineers regarding work progress, faults, and outstanding items.
  • Comfortable working in varying site conditions and adapting to changing work priorities during busy construction and commissioning phases.
Experience Requirements
  • 8–10 years of field E&I technician experience on oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial EPC projects.
  • Proven experience in instrument calibration, loop checking, and pre‑commissioning activities including work on DCS/ESD systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with instruments and electrical systems interfacing with Schneider Foxboro DCS and Triconex ESD Systems is advantageous.
  • Experience working on Saudi Aramco or ADNOC construction sites, with familiarity with their field installation and testing standards.
