Job Summary

The Estimator (QS Mechanical) is responsible for preparing accurate mechanical quantity estimates, cost analysis, budgeting, and tendering support for Oil & Gas projects. The role involves reviewing drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements to develop cost estimates and support commercial and project planning activities.

• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for mechanical works.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and estimation reports.
• Support tendering, bidding, and proposal preparation activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams.
• Monitor project costs and support budget planning activities.
• Evaluate project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain estimation databases and historical cost records.
• Prepare commercial documentation and project cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, company procedures, and client specifications.
• Support project commercial reviews and management reporting.

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience as QS Mechanical / Mechanical Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and tendering processes.
• Experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and numerical skills.
