Job Description
Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Site Inspector (Mechanical‑Infra) to join our team. The Site Inspector is responsible for day‑to‑day site supervision, inspection, and quality control, ensuring all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project standards, with special focus on luxury hotel/resort requirements, guest comfort, safety, and operational efficiency. Solid experience in hospitality projects (5‑star hotels or resorts, completed projects) is required.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Monitor and inspect all mechanical and infrastructure works.
- Verify compliance with approved shop drawings, coordination drawings, project specifications, method statements, and relevant international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, etc.).
- Conduct daily site inspections and prepare inspection requests (IRs) for consultant/engineer approvals.
- Identify non‑conformances and issue NCRs/observations, following up to ensure timely rectification.
- Ensure high‑quality standards aligned with 5‑star hospitality requirements (comfort, acoustics, thermal performance, aesthetics, maintainability).
- Check workmanship, material installation, and system layouts to avoid rework and clashes with other trades.
- Verify storage, handling, and installation of mechanical equipment and materials per manufacturer’s instructions and project QA/QC procedures.
- Witness testing and commissioning (T&C) for all related systems and verify test results.
- Coordinate closely with Civil, architectural, electrical, ELV, and interior fit‑out teams.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings to highlight site issues, constraints, and required actions.
- Ensure mechanical and infra works are properly coordinated with luxury finishes, guest rooms, suites, public areas, F&B outlets, spa, and outdoor resort facilities.
- Support resolution of clashes and interface issues using updated drawings and coordination information.
- Prepare and maintain daily site reports (activities, manpower, progress, issues), inspection reports, checklists, and quality records, snag lists and de‑snagging reports for mechanical and infra works.
- Ensure all mechanical and infra activities comply with project HSE regulations.
- Verify safe installation practices for heavy equipment, working at height, confined spaces, and hot works.
- Report unsafe practices, participate in toolbox talks, and promote safety culture on site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in large‑scale hospitality projects.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication and reporting skills in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and in a fast‑track environment.
- Team player, proactive, with a problem‑solving mindset.
- Knowledge of international procedures, design guides, automated and administrative practices.
- Experience with vertical hotel towers and resort‑type developments.
- Experience with complex MEP and infra systems for hospitality.
