Job Description:We are seeking a Civil/Structural Inspector for night shift to oversee and inspect civil and structural works for a high-end resort and hotel project. The role focuses on ensuring construction quality, safety, and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and international standards during night operations.
What You'll Be Doing:- Conduct nightly site inspections of civil and structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Monitor ongoing night-shift activities (concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, and structural modifications) for quality and workmanship.
- Verify that only approved materials are used and that installation methods meet project and industry requirements.
- Check dimensional accuracy, levels, and alignment of structural elements, documenting any non-conformances and following up on corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate night-shift inspection records, including daily reports, checklists, photographs, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and other stakeholders at night to resolve technical issues and clarify inspection findings.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements and safe working practices during night operations, promptly reporting unsafe conditions.
- Support the implementation of project quality control procedures, contributing to continuous improvement of inspection and reporting practices.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience as a civil/structural inspector on building or hospitality projects (resorts, hotels, or similar).
- Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings, civil layouts, details, and construction specifications.
- Solid understanding of construction sequences, materials, and methods related to reinforced concrete, structural steel, and architectural interfaces.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and common document/reporting tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare clear inspection reports and logs.
- Prior experience on hospitality, resort, or high-rise hotel projects within the region.
- Familiarity with local authority requirements, international building codes, and hospitality-specific quality standards.
- HSE-related training or certifications, and demonstrated commitment to safe work practices on site.
- Ability to work independently on night shift, manage time effectively, and collab-orate within a multi-disciplinary project team.
