An engineering organization in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer with strong expertise in industrial and EPC fire protection engineering and design. The role is focused on developing, reviewing, and coordinating fire protection engineering deliverables for industrial projects.

The successful candidate will contribute to fire protection studies, engineering documentation, design drawings, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, fire-risk assessments, and fire-water-demand calculations. The position also involves multidisciplinary coordination and providing specialized technical guidance on fire protection engineering requirements.

• Prepare Basis of Design documents and technical specifications for fire protection systems.
• Prepare fire protection equipment data sheets, layouts, and engineering drawings.
• Develop fire-hazard-area and fire-risk-area drawings, charts, and industrial fire-hazard layouts.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for fire protection systems.
• Prepare fire-water-demand calculations.
• Prepare and review fire protection studies, design drawings, and P&IDs.
• Organize and supervise engineering activities involving multidisciplinary professionals and specialized engineers.
• Provide expert technical advice on fire protection philosophies, engineering processes, and technical queries.
• Prepare and review fire-related engineering documents and Scopes of Work for specialized fire engineering assessments.
• Review MTOs and vendor documentation.
• Resolve specialized fire protection engineering issues using recognized engineering principles, codes, and standards.

• Must be registered and classified with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) as a Fire Protection Engineer.
• PE Certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Fire Protection Engineer.
• Experience with in EPC companies, GESI/engineering consultancies, or trade building/industrial fire protection environments.
• Strong experience in fire protection studies, engineering design drawings, and P&IDs.
• Expertise in hydraulic calculations, fire-risk-area calculations, and fire-water-demand calculations.
• Strong knowledge of applicable fire protection principles, codes, and standards.
• Experience with MTO review and vendor-document review.
• Ability to prepare Scopes of Work and technical papers.
• Excellent English-speaking and technical writing skills.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination, technical problem-solving, and communication skills.
