Telecom Core Network Project Manager

Role Summary

The Telecom Core Project Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of compact and virtualized core network solutions, including LTE/5G core-in-a-box and cloud‑native core platforms. The role focuses on deploying, integrating, and optimizing core network functions for enterprise customers, private LTE/5G networks, and rapid or remote deployment scenarios.

This position ensures successful execution of complex telecom core projects, from planning and design through integration, testing, commissioning, and operational handover, while maintaining compliance with technical, security, and regulatory standards.

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of compact core and virtualized core network projects.
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and delivery milestones.
• Manage deployment of compact and cloud‑native core network solutions, including:
  • Evolved Packet Core (EPC)
  • 5G Core (5GC) network functions
  • Private LTE and private 5G network solutions
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including core network engineers, RAN engineers, IT/cloud specialists, and system integrators.
• Oversee integration of core network systems with:
  • Radio Access Network (RAN)
  • Transport and backhaul networks
  • OSS/BSS and service management platforms
• Manage installation, configuration, integration, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure adherence to telecom standards, cybersecurity policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and interdependencies.
• Manage vendors, OEMs, system integrators, and third‑party partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track project progress and provide regular reporting to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure successful project delivery aligned with customer expectations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in telecom project management with a strong focus on core network deployments.
• Solid understanding of LTE and 5G core network architecture, including virtualization and cloud‑native technologies.
• Experience with NFV, containerized network functions, and cloud orchestration environments.
• Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is preferred.

• Primarily office‑based with close coordination across engineering, IT, and delivery teams
• Exposure to data center environments, enterprise sites, and private network deployments
• Occasional travel required for site deployment, integration, and customer engagement activities
