Job Overview:
The Procurement Lead plays a critical role in supporting and managing procurement, operations, ensuring efficient sourcing, timely delivery, and compliance with internal policies. This role supervises day-to-day procurement activities andserves as a key liaison between the procurement team and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervisedaily procurement operations including reviewing requisitions, purchase orders, RFQs, RFP, and contracts.
- Support the Procurement team in executing sourcing strategies, supplierevaluations, and contract administration.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues, invoicediscrepancies, or product concerns.
- Overseeprocurement documentation, ensuring accurate records for audits and reporting.
- Contribute to cost savings initiatives and support negotiations.
- Monitorprocurement KPIs and assist in preparing reports for management.
- Mentorand guide junior procurement staff, fostering professional development and accountability.
- Escalateprocurement risks and concerns to the Procurement Manager.
Qualification sand
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of procurement experience, including at least 1–2 yearsin a supervisory role.
- Solid understanding of procurement principles, supplier management,and contract compliance.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention todetail.
