Job Summary
Responsible for performing welding quality control inspection activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and international welding codes. The role ensures welding fabrication, installation, and inspection activities meet quality and safety requirements while supporting project teams through proper documentation, inspection, and compliance monitoring.
Roles and Responsibilities- Perform welding inspection activities during fabrication and construction in accordance with project specifications and Saudi Aramco standards.
- Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and welding consumables before and during welding operations.
- Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with approved WPS, PQR, and project quality requirements.
- Review and verify welding documentation, inspection reports, and material certificates.
- Conduct visual inspection and coordinate non‑destructive testing (NDT) activities such as RT, UT, PT, and MT.
- Identify non‑conformities, welding defects, or quality deviations and report them for corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international welding codes and Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, project engineers, and contractors to ensure inspection requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate welding inspection reports, records, and quality documentation.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality procedures during welding inspection activities.
- ARAMCO Approved Welding QC Inspector certification with CBT.
- Previous Saudi Aramco project experience is mandatory.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in welding inspection or QA/QC in oil & gas projects.
- Certification such as CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2, AWS CWI, or equivalent welding inspection certification.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, welding inspection techniques, and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with international welding codes such as ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, and applicable Saudi Aramco standards (SAES / SAEP).
- Experience working on onshore and oil & gas construction or EPC projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, welding procedures, and inspection documentation.
- Strong reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
