Job Summary
Responsible for performing quality control inspection activities for rotating mechanical equipment in onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. The role ensures that installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of rotating equipment comply with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and international quality standards. The inspector will support project teams by verifying equipment integrity, maintaining inspection documentation, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures during all project phases.
Roles and Responsibilities- Perform inspection of rotating mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery in accordance with project specifications and Saudi Aramco standards.
- Verify installation, alignment, and commissioning activities of rotating equipment to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality procedures.
- Review and verify material certificates, inspection reports, and technical documentation related to rotating equipment.
- Ensure inspection and testing activities comply with applicable international codes and Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards.
- Monitor fabrication, installation, and testing activities to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Identify non-conformities, defects, or quality issues and report them to the QA/QC team for corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and QA/QC teams to ensure inspection requirements are fulfilled.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and documentation as per project quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures during inspection activities.
- Support project teams during mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities of rotating equipment.
- ARAMCO Approved Mechanical Rotating QC Inspector certification.
- CBT (Computer-Based Test) certification preferred; however, candidates with ARAMCO approval without CBT are also acceptable.
- Previous Saudi Aramco project experience is mandatory.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in rotating equipment inspection or mechanical QA/QC in oil & gas projects.
- Experience working on onshore and offshore oil & gas construction or EPC projects.
- Relevant certifications such as API 610 (Centrifugal Pumps), API 617 (Compressors), API 686 (Machinery Installation), or equivalent rotating equipment inspection certifications.
- Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES / SAEP) and international inspection standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, inspection procedures, and quality documentation related to rotating equipment.
- Strong reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
