Job Summary
The QCI Static Inspector will be responsible for carrying out quality control inspection activities related to static equipment within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC, and Industrial projects. The role includes monitoring fabrication, installation, inspection, and testing activities for static equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers while ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. The inspector will support quality assurance processes and maintain adherence to safety and operational standards throughout project execution.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform inspection activities for static equipment including pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and related systems
- Verify material identification, fabrication quality, dimensions, and installation activities
- Conduct visual inspections and monitor testing activities as per project specifications
- Ensure compliance with approved ITPs, procedures, and international standards
- Review fabrication drawings, technical specifications, welding procedures, and inspection reports
- Coordinate inspection activities with client representatives and project teams
- Raise RFIs and participate in inspection approvals and quality reviews
- Identify non-conformities and prepare NCRs when required
- Monitor hydrotesting, pressure testing, and commissioning-related inspection activities
- Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, and documentation
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and quality standards throughout project execution
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, engineering teams, and construction departments
Mandatory Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in static equipment inspection activities within Oil & Gas, EPC, or Industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and static equipment inspection procedures
- Knowledge of international codes and quality standards related to static equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Good reporting, coordination, and communication skills
- Previous Saudi Aramco experience preferred but not mandatory
