Food Safety Officer
Location:
Al-Qadsiah Club, Khobar, Saudi Arabia
Reports to:
HSE Lead / Operations Director
The Food Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance across all club food outlets, hospitality suites, event catering, and staff kitchens. This role ensures the implementation of food safety systems, conducts inspections, maintains regulatory compliance, and safeguards the health of players, staff, members, and guests.
Key Responsibilities Food Safety & Compliance- Develop, implement, and monitor Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) aligned with Saudi regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with SFDA (Saudi Food & Drug Authority) and municipal health regulations.
- Implement and maintain HACCP-based procedures.
- Conduct regular food safety inspections across all club facilities.
- Perform internal audits of kitchens, concessions, VIP hospitality areas, and event catering.
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and pest control records.
- Prepare documentation for external audits and inspections.
- Conduct food hygiene and food handling training for kitchen staff and vendors.
- Ensure all food handlers maintain valid health certificates.
- Promote a strong food safety culture across the organization.
- Investigate food safety incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Manage allergen control and labeling compliance.
- Ensure safe food storage, preparation, and transportation during matches and events.
- Approve and audit food suppliers and catering vendors.
- Ensure raw materials meet quality and safety standards.
- Monitor receiving, storage, and distribution processes.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Public Health, or related field.
- Certified in HACCP (Level 3 or above preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food safety, preferably in hospitality, large-scale catering, or sports facilities.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi food safety regulations.
- Professional certification (e.g., ISO 22000, NEBOSH Food Safety – preferred).
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and training abilities.
- Fluency in Arabic and English preferred.
