Job Summary
The Inspector – QC (Welding) is responsible for ensuring that all welding activities comply with approved welding procedures, project specifications, client requirements, and applicable international codes and standards. The role involves performing inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco quality requirements within Oil & Gas projects.
Roles & Responsibilities- Inspect welding activities to ensure compliance with approved WPS, ITPs, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Monitor fit-up, welding, and post-weld activities to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Verify welder qualifications, welding consumables, and welding equipment before welding activities.
- Conduct visual inspections and monitor welding operations during fabrication and construction.
- Review welding procedures, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and client representatives to resolve welding-related quality issues.
- Monitor non-conformances and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco quality requirements and project specifications.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality reviews related to welding activities.
- Ensure adherence to HSE and quality management system requirements.
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry as a QC Welding Inspector.
- Valid CSWIP Welding Inspector Certification obtained before 2022 – Mandatory.
- Saudi Aramco Approval and/or relevant Saudi Aramco project experience – Mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of welding inspection procedures, standards, and quality requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, and inspection specifications.
