The QA/QC Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the project's Quality Management System, ensuring that all construction works comply with the Contract Documents, approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and quality standards.
The role requires strong technical knowledge to monitor construction quality, assess non-conformances, oversee inspections and testing, and provide technical guidance to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the required quality standards.
Responsibilities- Manage and implement the Project Quality Management System.
- Review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements and quality procedures.
- Oversee site inspections, material approvals and testing activities.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable codes.
- Lead the management of NCRs, corrective actions and root cause investigations.
- Review material submissions, test reports, factory certificates and inspection records.
- Coordinate quality activities with the Employer, Engineer, Contractor and testing laboratories.
- Monitor quality trends and recommend preventive improvements.
- Prepare quality reports, audits and project quality statistics.
- Provide technical guidance to QA/QC engineers and inspectors.
- Minimum 15 years
' post-graduate engineering experience. - Minimum 8 years in QA/QC management on major building projects.
- Experience on large mixed-use developments, shopping malls, high-rise buildings or similar mega projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary quality systems during construction.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality management systems.
- Thorough understanding of inspection, testing and material compliance requirements.
- Ability to review ITPs, Method Statements and material submissions.
- Experience managing NCRs, corrective actions and quality audits.
- Good understanding of structural, architectural and MEP quality requirements.
- Ability to interpret project specifications and engineering standards.
- Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary QA/QC teams.
