Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Communication Inspector to oversee the installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of communication and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems for a world-class Oceanarium Project. The role is responsible for ensuring that all communication infrastructure is installed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, international standards, and HSE requirements while supporting the reliable operation of life-support, security, and facility communication systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
Inspect the installation of communication and ELV systems, including structured cabling, fiber optic networks, CCTV, Public Address (PA), Access Control, Telephone, Data Network, Wi-Fi, and Building Management System (BMS) interfaces.
Verify communication infrastructure associated with marine exhibits, life-support facilities, operations buildings, visitor areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Ensure all installation activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, client requirements, and international standards.
Review communication layouts, single-line diagrams, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and technical submittals.
Witness cable pulling, cable termination, fiber optic splicing, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Conduct routine field inspections and prepare detailed inspection reports and quality documentation.
Coordinate inspection activities with contractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives.
Identify non-conforming works, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and verify implementation of corrective actions.
Verify approved materials, manufacturer certifications, and installation quality prior to system energization.
Ensure compliance with project Quality Management System (QMS), HSE requirements, and project schedules.
Support integrated system testing, final inspections, snagging activities, and project handover.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience as a Communication Inspector in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, hospitality, marine, or mega construction projects.
Experience in Oceanarium, Aquarium, Theme Park, Smart Building, Airport, Metro, or similar iconic projects is highly preferred.
Strong experience in ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Public Address (PA), Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics, Data Networks, Telephone Systems, Wi-Fi, and BMS integration.
Experience in testing, commissioning, and quality inspection of communication systems.
Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA, IEC, BICSI, NFPA, and other relevant international communication standards.
Ability to interpret communication layouts, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.
GCC project experience is preferred.
