Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University strives to develop human intelligence and provide solutions based on scientific research. The Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI) focuses on excellence in machine intelligence research and innovation, using state‑of‑the‑art IT infrastructure and strong institutional support. Research areas include deep learning, fuzzy logic, optimization, image processing, computer vision, signal processing, time series, pattern recognition, virtual reality and their applications to medicine, health, life sciences, energy, smart living, natural science, robotics, law, business and humanities.

• Lead and develop the research culture at PMU, conducting own research and presenting findings at international conferences.
• Secure external funding to support and expand research activities, including collaborations with local industries, government agencies and the community.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and decision‑making for the Center for Artificial Intelligence.

• Lead research in AI and its applications.
• Possess in‑depth expertise in managing scientific research projects and organizing interdisciplinary scholarly events.
• Collaborate with faculty and students on research topics of common interest.
• Teach one or two courses as required.
• Act as an ambassador for the Center through publications, outreach activities, workshops and conferences.
• Produce high‑quality scholarly publications in reputable journals and conference proceedings.
• Manage select PMU research activities, including international meetings, visits of senior scholars and scientific advisory boards.
• Write research proposals, secure external funding and lead research personnel.
• Build and develop the PMU faculty team of senior scholars, fostering international collaborations.

• PhD in computer science, engineering, physics, data science, mathematics or a closely related field.
• Track record of cutting‑edge research evidenced by publications in top journals and conferences.
• Demonstrated success in acquiring funding through grants or contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Leadership ability, including effective communication of scientific results to the public.
• Experience mentoring junior researchers.
• For candidates applying for Associate / Full Professor, a letter of promotion from an academic institution with documented due process is required.
