Boom Truck Operator​/Driver​/Aramco Approved

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a boom truck to lift move and position heavy materials at construction sites ensuring load stability and adherence to lift plans
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the boom truck and its equipment documenting any defects and ensuring operational readiness
• Navigate various job sites including rough terrain and congested areas while maintaining situational awareness to prevent accidents
• Communicate effectively with ground crew signal persons and site supervisors using hand signals or radio communication to coordinate lifts
• Read and interpret load charts engineering plans and site schematics to determine safe lifting capacities and operating procedures
• Maintain accurate daily logs including mileage fuel consumption work performed and any incidents or delays encountered
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and balanced before and during transport and lifting operations
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies OSHA regulations and local traffic laws reporting any unsafe conditions immediately
• Perform routine maintenance on the boom truck such as checking fluid levels tire pressure and lubrication to ensure optimal performance
• Respond to emergency situations calmly and professionally following established protocols for accidents or equipment malfunctions

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
• Hold a current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification for construction safety.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience operating boom trucks in a similar industry (e.g., construction, utilities, heavy lifting).
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding load charts and lift plans.
• Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude for performing basic maintenance and identifying equipment issues.
• Possess excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning abilities for precise operation.
• Be physically capable of climbing in and out of the truck, standing for extended periods, and lifting moderate weight.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Show a strong commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to risk management.
• Be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime as project demands require.
