Purchase Ledger Clerk

SF Recruitment are working with an established Kidderminster business to recruit a Purchase Ledger & Cashiering Clerk.

This is a busy, hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working through high volumes, managing detailed paperwork and keeping financial processes moving. The initial priority will be getting the ledger fully up to date, so you will need to be confident, organised and happy working in a process-driven environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Processing purchase ledger and cashiering transactions accurately and efficiently
Managing approximately 30-40 transactions per day
Preparing mid-month and month-end supplier payment runs
Processing ad hoc payments when required
Posting and reconciling payments across the ledger
Maintaining accurate paperwork and financial records
Printing, scanning and processing documentation through the internal system
Investigating and resolving invoice or payment discrepancies
Supporting the wider finance team with general transactional duties

What You'll Bring
Previous experience within purchase ledger, cashiering or a similar transactional finance role
Confidence working within a busy, high-volume environment
A reliable and methodical approach to processing work
Good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Comfortable working with Excel and learning internal systems
The confidence to take ownership of your workload and hit the ground running

This position would suit someone who enjoys a stable, hands-on clerical role rather than someone solely focused on rapid progression.
