Learning Support Assistant

Role

ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in a SEN School in Stourbridge on a full-time basis.

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to children with special educational needs.
• Promote student engagement and participation during lessons.
• Create a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment that encourages growth and independence for all students.

Providing education and care for young children and young people from the ages of 6‑19 with a variety of social, emotional, physical and learning difficulties, including autism and visual impairment. The overall aim of the school is to prepare young people for life and to achieve the best possible outcome for students.

• Relevant experience supporting students with autism, social, emotional, physical and severe learning difficulties.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Compassionate, dedicated and eager to go the extra mile to support the students in your care.
• Can provide appropriate references and pass a DBS check.
• Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position area suitable qualification for working with children and experience working with special education needs.
